I’ve just been on a short break to London and, whilst doing the usual sightseeing/shopping thing I popped into Liberty, the very posh, slightly twee, department store off Regent Street. They’ve got a lovely idea there, for as you walk through the entrance you expect to be greeted with a stark vestibule like other department stores, [...] First of all a handy tip. I left my flower arrangement in a crystal vase just a little too long (truth be known, the flowers were almost fossilised!!) and I had the dried on green algae tide mark which would normally be no problem but this time it was a narrow necked vase. However today I was privy as an observer in the right places at the right times to see just what the [...] I was talking with a group of friends a few days ago and the subject turned to the break up of relationships. One of them had just split from her partner and was in need of comforting words. After a while, Celia, the oldest of us, broke in with a tale that left us open mouthed. Fifteen [...] My father’s just had a very brief stay in hospital. It was very brief because they cancelled his operation whilst he was lying on the operating table waiting for the surgeon to start. We were worried that it might have been too dangerous for the surgeon to operate but it turned out to be the old [...] I’m back out to Cyprus next week and as usual I can’t wait! My friends have been bragging about the summer weather and I really want to get out and about again, visit friends, enjoy the wonderful environment and breathe the flower scented spring air. At the moment though I’m sat in my study in the UK [...] Easter’s on it’s way – you only have to look in the stores to see acres of Easter eggs, cuddly chicks and rabbits and the party food ready for the family dinner on Easter Day.
